Futoi (pronounced Foo-Toh-ee), whose name is Japanese for "plump", is a little penguin with a BIG appetite... for fun! Futoi is the oldest of the group of friends and loves to lead them on adventures all over Antarctica and beyond. Always friendly, talkative, and insatiably inquisitive, Futoi loves to learn everything he can and to share that knowledge with others. He likes to draw maps of where he travels and keep journals of his discoveries. But what does he love most of all? His little sister, Chibi. He knows that he is Chibi's hero, and that without his help Chibi might not survive the harsh antarctic climate and way of life. Knowing that he is so important to her motivates Futoi to always do his best and set a good example.
