Hi Futoi! fans! I'm Cattywompus. I am the author of Futoi! and friends. A graphic designer with a passion for penguins, discovery, and all things silly, it is my pleasure to meet you!

With my over-active imagination as a tool, I have been concocting stories for as long as anyone can remember. Futoi! and friends will be my first published book, though my teachers, professors, friends, and family have been telling me to publish my stories for years.

The opportunity finally came when Futoi was born. Futoi! just jumped out of my head and onto my computer - a gregarious little penguin with a big smile and a big appetite... for fun! I instantly fell in love with him and the stories of his adventures practically wrote themselves.

I currently work as a Webmaster, Marketing Coordinator, and Graphic Designer for a Marine Electronics design and development firm. In my free time I like to draw, read, do free-lance graphic design, and decorate parties. I have had several original flyer designs printed and distributed in the thousands, as well as animated internet advertising published on several websites.

One afternoon in January 2004 I was doodling on my computer during lunch. My life had been very stressful, and I hadn't been sleeping well. I felt as though I hadn't had creative inspiration in years. And then there he was! Futoi! was just the friend I needed to make me smile.

I hope that when you meet his friends and read about their adventures you will have fun, learn new things, and that he will make you smile too. With Futoi! and friends, everyday is an adventure!
